Wish Upon a Hero - I wish for Help with utilities, rent, and/or Christmas for the kids :0)

Wish Upon a Hero - I wish Help with utilities, rent, and/or Christmas for the kids :0): "I WISH Help with utilities, rent, and/or Christmas for the kids :0)
We need help paying utilities & rent. The water & gas shut off is Dec. 20th. The water co. always shuts us off & it's $65 to reconnect.

We have 4 beautiful children. Before my cancer diagnosis 5 yrs. ago I was an IT specialist with an IT degree. I completed my BA during cancer treatment, that also saved my son's life! I'm now disabled.

My husband worked in a factory(closed down) & briefly at another one. With a large back rod, narcolepsy diagnosis, depression & the economy, it's been even harder to work. He reached out to work through a program @ human services who say they may NOT pay him AT ALL due to me struggling to gather verifications timely. He finally felt like he was contributing, now to find out all his work may be for nothing has crushed him.

We hope to start a business, accommodating for disabilities, highlighting our abilities & using my degrees & creativity for something to pass along to our children.

For Christmas my son(16) told the family give his gifts to his sis & bros so they have a special Christmas. My 11 yr old just wanted his comp. repaired. I wish I could do more for them, but I have been so depressed, I don't even have our tree up.

(The USA forgotten who hurt & don't know how to reach out or are to sad to try, breaks my heart. I wish I could help.)

I'd be willing to do tech work remotely for you, my husband repairs electronics & video games, I crochet blankets, hot pads & would love to make you something. I will blog my crafts & items we have @ the link below. I only wish for my children to have a safe, warm, loving life.

Please pray for us. God provides & I have faith he will get us somewhere from here.
Thanks & bless you!

Aprox amts. to keep on:
Gas $300
Water $200
City bill $500
Elec is current
Gas & elec. have thousands past due
Rent $1700
Phone's shut off, maybe $200 ?
*Christmas Wishes from the kids on our Wal-mart wish list link
ANY help would be more than appreciated!

Christmas Traditions in Philippines « Christmas Spirit

Christmas Traditions in Philippines « Christmas Spirit: "A brief history of the country > The Republic of the Philippines is a geographically large island nation located in southeast Asia. With its 7106 islands, it has a great diversity of terrains and also languages. Despite that, it is a predominantly Christian country, and about 90% catholic. The Philippines, named after King Philip of Spain, was a Spanish colony for more than three centuries up until 1896, at which time it gained independence with the help of the Americans, only for the Americans to assert control themselves and govern it as a colony. The Philippines is now an independent country, and has a rapidly growing population closing in on 100 million.

Due to it’s long Christian traditions, Christmas is a very important part of the Filipino culture, and the Philippines has one of the most interesting traditions in the world of observing the Christmas holiday. They are noted for having the longest Christmas holiday in the Christian world, sometimes beginning as early as September and not ending until the first Sunday in January, Three Kings’ Day.

A friend, who has been living there now for five years, has said that he has seen this early Christmas at first hand, and this year, Santa Claus made his first television appearance in a promotion starting in July!

However, the official start of the Christmas holiday in the Republic of the Philippines is December 16th, when the “misas de aguinaldo”, or “Gift Masses”, begin extremely early in the morning every day for nine consecutive days. These masses are very important to millions of people in the Philippines. Sometimes these masses may even start as early as 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning. Those devout Christians are encouraged to attend each mass for those nine days, not missing any as a demonstration of their faith and devotion.

On December 24th, the Filipino people also celebrate “la misa de gallo”, or the “Mass of the Rooster”. The rooster is used to refer to the rooster crowing at the sun at dawn. The “misa de gallo” is the final mass of the nine consecutive early morning masses, and is the official start of the Christmas day.

La Noche Buena, the Christmas feast, is an integral part of the Christmas holiday in the Philippines. The star of the Filipino Christmas meal is the giant ball of cheese and the juicy Christmas ham, but only for the few who can afford it. In many parts of the Philippines, in the run up to Christmas, children roam from house to house singing carols, just as children do in other parts of the world. Due to the poverty level, those extra few pesos can make a big difference to a many a Filipino family.

The Christmas celebration continues all the way through New Years Eve and New Years Day to January 6, which is the Three Kings’ Day. It’s party time and fireworks on Christmas Eve and new Year’s Eve, when people have fun and, apart from the fireworks, make loud noises to celebrate the New Year, as well as ward off any bad spirits that may be trying to enter. At midnight on New Year’s Eve, Filipino families get together and partake in a New Year’s feast together to celebrate the coming of a brand new year. This is a time of great superstition in this country, children are seen jumping up at midnight in hopes that they will grow taller in the new year.

All in all, Christmas is more religious and less material than in other parts of the world, but I wonder if that would be the case if people were not so poor.

FAA missing key data on 119,000 planes - Travel - News - msnbc.com

FAA missing key data on 119,000 planes - Travel - News - msnbc.com: "NEW YORK — The Federal Aviation Administration's aircraft registry is missing key information on who owns one-third of the 357,000 private and commercial planes in the U.S. — a gap the agency fears could be exploited by terrorists and drug traffickers.

The records are in such disarray that the FAA says it is worried that criminals could buy planes without the government's knowledge, or use the registration numbers of other aircraft to evade new computer systems designed to track suspicious flights. It has ordered all aircraft owners to re-register their planes in an effort to clean up its files.

AFP: Obama should resign if approved UN spying: WikiLeaks founder

AFP: Obama should resign if approved UN spying: WikiLeaks founder: "Obama should resign if approved UN spying: WikiLeaks founder

(AFP) – 16 hours ago

MADRID — President Barack Obama should resign if it can be shown that he approved spying by US diplomatic figures on UN officials, the founder of WikiLeaks said in an interview published Sunday.

'The whole chain of command who was aware of this order, and approved it, must resign if the US is to be seen to be a credible nation that obeys the rule of law. The order is so serious it may well have been put to the president for approval,' Julian Assange told Spanish daily El Pais.

'Obama must answer what he knew about this illegal order and when. If he refuses to answer or there is evidence he approved of these actions, he must resign,' he added during an Internet chat interview published online.

WikiLeaks threw US diplomacy into chaos when it started releasing more than 250,000 classified State Department cables on November 28, creating an international firestorm as American diplomats' private assessments of foreign leaders and politics have been publicly aired.

According to one of the documents, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked for UN personnel's telephones, emails, credit card details and frequent flier numbers.

Woah!… Wikileaks Documents Show Obama Administration Used Spying, Threats & Bribes to Get Support for Copenhagen Accord | The Gateway Pundit

Woah!… Wikileaks Documents Show Obama Administration Used Spying, Threats & Bribes to Get Support for Copenhagen Accord | The Gateway Pundit: "The Obama Administration spied on, threatened and bribed countries to support the Copenhagen Accord. The accord would have devastated American business and manufacturing.
The Guardian reported:

Embassy dispatches show America used spying, threats and promises of aid to get support for Copenhagen accord

Hidden behind the save-the-world rhetoric of the global climate change negotiations lies the mucky realpolitik: money and threats buy political support; spying and cyberwarfare are used to seek out leverage.

The US diplomatic cables reveal how the US seeks dirt on nations opposed to its approach to tackling global warming; how financial and other aid is used by countries to gain political backing; how distrust, broken promises and creative accounting dog negotiations; and how the US mounted a secret global diplomatic offensive to overwhelm opposition to the controversial “Copenhagen accord”, the unofficial document that emerged from the ruins of the Copenhagen climate change summit in 2009.

Negotiating a climate treaty is a high-stakes game, not just because of the danger warming poses to civilisation but also because re-engineering the global economy to a low-carbon model will see the flow of billions of dollars redirected.

Seeking negotiating chips, the US state department sent a secret cable on 31 July 2009 seeking human intelligence from UN diplomats across a range of issues, including climate change. The request originated with the CIA. As well as countries’ negotiating positions for Copenhagen, diplomats were asked to provide evidence of UN environmental “treaty circumvention” and deals between nations.

But intelligence gathering was not just one way. On 19 June 2009, the state department sent a cable detailing a “spear phishing” attack on the office of the US climate change envoy, Todd Stern, while talks with China on emissions took place in Beijing. Five people received emails, personalised to look as though they came from the National Journal. An attached file contained malicious code that would give complete control of the recipient’s computer to a hacker. While the attack was unsuccessful, the department’s cyber threat analysis division noted: “It is probable intrusion attempts such as this will persist.”

The Beijing talks failed to lead to a global deal at Copenhagen.

It’s a good thing the US media is ignoring this story. It might reflect poorly on the Obama Administration.
They certainly don’t want that to happen.

Clinton snubbed by Iranian foreign minister - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

Clinton snubbed by Iranian foreign minister - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room: "Clinton snubbed by Iranian foreign minister
By Bridget Johnson - 12/04/10 11:47 AM ET

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was snubbed by Iran's top diplomat, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, during a rare encounter at a Bahrain security conference Friday.

'I got up to leave and he was sitting a couple of seats down from me and shaking people's hands and he saw me and he stopped and began to turn away,' Clinton told reporters on her plane returning to Washington on Saturday, according to Reuters.

'I said 'Hello, minister.' He just turned away.'

Clinton was delivering a speech in Bahrain in advance of next week's plans for Iranian representatives to sit down with the P5+1 -- the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany -- to discuss its controversial nuclear program.

Mottaki addressed the conference on Saturday, stressing that Tehran would want the 'Iranian agenda' addressed if the U.S. wants to continue talks, the first in a year.

'We will focus on dialogue. Our agenda will be presented at the meeting,' Mottaki said.

Republicans Move to Block Ron Paul from Monetary Policy Subcommittee Chair

Republicans Move to Block Ron Paul from Monetary Policy Subcommittee Chair:

The republicans never cease to run a muck with hair brained ideas and are still attempting to keep their good ol boy system in place, while fearing the rEvoLution, and avoiding listening to the tea party whole heartily. Many candidates have stepped up to join the tea party movement, while staying one step away from the rEvoLution, while those who stand to take a lose when the gop falls apart, cling to the old ways in fear of losing their pompous machine of pride boosting pleasure. Who cares what party people cling to? they are merely money making machines, and society shapers.

When the people scream to be free, the big giant heads fear there is no money to be made in freedom, no policies to push, no agency to create, no organization to push money through. Just to be free. The lies they repeat... - that there is a cost to being free, - no there is no cost. There is inherent consequence, but it is well worth the risk.

Don't block Ron Paul from anything! :)
